Three of our students, Aydan Brown, Ezra Tupavae and Christian Cooper recently participated in the South Island Colgate Games with great success.

Christian was outstanding, gaining the following results in the North Island and South Island games:

North Island Colgate Games:

Gold Medal - Long Jump PB 6.32m & Selwyn Record

Gold Medal - High Jump 1.90m

Silver Medal - 100m Hurdles PB 14.63s & Selwyn Record

Silver Medal -Discus PB 40.22m & Selwyn Record

6th overall in 100m final & PB in semi of 11.83s

South Island Colgate Games:

Gold Medal - Long Jump - 6.19m

Silver Medal -Discus - 40.95m PB & increased his Selwyn record

200m - 4th in finals with PB 23.85s & Selwyn record

Gold Medal - High Jump - 1.90m & attempted PB height

Bronze Medal - 100m - in Finals and PB in semis of 11.78s

4x100 Relay - Silver Medal

Christian was also awarded The Nick Willis scholarship by New Zealand Athletics to outstanding track and field athletes who show exceptional performance, character and sportsmanship.
