Four of our students have achieved outstanding success in Touch refereeing.
Maddi Kitson has had an exceptional season. She reffed the girls’ final at CSS and has now qualified to pursue her Level 2 referee badge. Maddi has also been selected to referee at Masters and NZSS, and has been endorsed to referee at Opens/21s Nationals. Alongside her refereeing achievements, she will also be playing for Canterbury U16 Black at Te Wai Pounamu and Youth Nationals.
Kobe Eggers, Oraka McLaughlin, and Kurenga McLaughlin have all successfully achieved their Level 1 Referee qualification. A special congratulations to Kobe, who was also awarded Male Referee of the Tournament at a recent event in Nelson. Along side his refereeing achievements, Kobe is also a member of the LHS Mixed Turtles Touch team who are heading to NZSS this week and is representing Canterbury in the U16 Black Team.
Well done to all four students for their dedication, hard work, and excellence in Touch refereeing.
