Canterbury Secondary Schools Athletics


Last week we had 27 athletes compete in the CSS Athletics Championships at Ngā Puna Wai. Students competed well and showed a lot of resilience in the tough weather conditions over the two days. Congratulations to all our athletes on some amazing results.

Well done Christian Cooper who jumped 1.80m to break the U14 High Jump record.

Ezra Tapuvae – 1st U14 400m, 3rd Discus, 4th 200m

Tyler Bratley – 1st U19 Javelin

Zoe Whinham – 3rd U14 80m Hurdles, 3rd Triple Jump, 5th Long Jump

Scarlett Dalley – 4th U19 200m, 7th 100m

Aydan Brown – 3rd U14 80m Hurdles, 6th Long Jump

Kiera O’Donnell – 1st U15 800m, 4th 1500m

Eleanor Bisley – 3rd 2000m Steeple (open)

Alysa Brown – 4th U16 800m

Fred Fitch – 5th U15 3000m, 6th 1500m

Lydian Thompson – Semi Final U15 100m
